Obama Makes COBRA More Affordable For Families
There is a little bit of good news for those who were recently laid off. Thanks to US Government subsides, COBRA health insurance premiums are now more affordable.
COBRA gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits, however, COBRA premiums were often expensive, as employers were able to charge up to 102% of their health plan cost for COBRA recipients.
