I had my own brush with breast cancer this week. The mildest brush. The brush of fear. A callback after a wonky mammogram. I got the all-clear but I felt paralyzed with fear for the days before.
Why? I know many women and their siblings who are battling breast cancer, just a few of the 13% of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the United States.
My friends talked about doing the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, but we didn’t manage it.
