Thanks Sally. We will have to investigate the tool you recommend. Mind you, we are not above saying we'd LOVE to make a few pennies from our blog. But our preference would be getting a sponsorship from a respectable company. So we won't be giving up our day jobs in a hurry. Note to advertisers: My marketing expertise could write a better ad in a flash than this silly ad (uh oh, is any publicity good publicity?)

Thanks Karen. Maybe they're testing our sense of humor? This one is so unappealing it is kind of funny ...

I have clicked on them ...They're by http://degrees.classesusa.com/schools/25231-page1.cusa Maybe they'll tell us the thinking behind the ads? Are they intentional? A marketing mix up? or a prank?

That is indeed a truly bizarre ad.

It reminds me:

a) why I don't have ads on my blog
b) why I use AdBlock Plus on Firefox

Some of them like the example given are very offputting!

Julie - I am so pleased to know that I am not the only Mom who saw this ad as, well, let's say unappealing! And that's being nice! Right on!

I totally agree! This is the most bizarre advertising I've seen. I've seen all sorts of images used for these "Moms Return to Work" ads including annoying animated dancing people. I've never seen this hairy man, but that is the most bizarre advertising. Whatever it is, I would never click on it :-)
